UPDATE as of 7/6/2011: Mounts and headers are available and shipping now!

UPDATE as of 6/11/2012: Suggested retail pricing on the mount kit, part # 12654HKR is $249.95.

Hey Silviav8 members! I am proud to announce a VERY soon to be released engine swap mount kit and header components from a company that Iím sure youíve all heard of, but perhaps wouldnít expect to get involved in the 240sx swap solutions.

Hooker Headers has been designing swap headers and mount components since the golden era of drag racing in the 1960ís. Recently we have been working with our parent company, Holley Performance Products, to design new proprietary components for use in premium LS swap applications. While this thread is focused on announcing the release of the engine swap plates and trans mount, the headers will be covered in a separate thread that I'll have up shortly.

We have largely focused on domestic LS swap applications until now and felt the need to test these waters. As many of you are aware, when mated together, the LS series engine and 240sx can make for a hard to beat platform in any number of areas: ľ mile, auto-cross, road racing, drifting, etc.

That being said we are proud to announce the following mount plates.

So far we've tested out all of the components (swap mounts/headers) we are offering and can say that any our products will work interchangeably with any of the Sikky swap kit. This is great if you don't want to have your own custom driveshaft made, want to retain a sway bar in the front (highly recommended), or simply don't want to use a GTO oil pan in conjunction with your swap.

Hooker Engine Swap Mount Plates and transmission mount- slated for release in approximately 2 weeks.

Itís important to note that while we are offering mounts, we will not be offering the bushings needed. Our idea behind this is that there are components in the marketplace that currently suit those needs and we are more than happy to direct you to them. The transmission cross-member should be installed with Prothane bushing part # 7-1604 (www.prothane.com) . The poly mount inserts that we recommend for our swap plates are from www.creativesteel.com and are SKU # 6, for a í97-04 C5 Corvette.

This is awesome stuff. These look to do the job without a crazy price tag with the quality that we know from holley.

Thanks turbociv910. We're excited about the mount kit release and are glad these are being received well on the forum.

Do you have an ls swap in progress right now?

The price on the poly spacers is pretty stupid. Assuming there is a cheaper alternative these look pretty interesting.

Regardless of whether you find the exact same dimension bushings at a cheaper price, our entire kit bolts an LS engine into your car for less than the other kits on the market.

Hopefully I'll be able to release the pricing for these shortly.

Very interested, but would need fitment pictures, and need to know how engine placement is compared to what is on the market.

Alright guys,

Things have clearly taken a bit longer than expected, but what doesn't right?

I've just got confirmation from engineering that the mounts have been finalized and will ready for selling on the first of July. Seems like a good time to release some American made parts just in time for Independence Day!

I've also updated the original post above with the price of the mounts but in case you missed it up top they will retail for $249.95.

I've already mentioned the price of the mild steel headers over on the other page so if you tally up the mount kit ($249.95), the bushings that you will have to to source from the suppliers we've recommended ($21.95 + $169.95, along with our painted black mild steel swap headers ($549.00), you can have your engine mounted and be working on other things for just under a $1000.00. You can't get that value with a lot of the other kits out there.

This is by far the cheapest price going and there is excellent quality engineered into the product as well.

will most definatly purchase a mout kit and headers as soon as theyre on sale, have been waiting far too long for a kit like this.

edit: are these going to be sold through hooker? or summit/jegs type places?

That is our aim "cscofield28", but you should be able to order these through any Holley/Hooker dealer upon their finalized release.

The pricing on these turned out to be pretty damn good. I cant wait to see what they retail for once the larger distributors get them.

Nice work guys.
